About us

A small Sevenoaks firm. Considered international removals, discreetly executed.

Quietly excellent. Established work. The voice of a professional service company, not a marketing brochure.

Removals Sevenoaks is a town-based international-removals firm for the West Kent commuter belt. The customer base is mature, established, considered. The conversation we have most often is about pace, the orderly disposal of the UK property, and the careful handling of the household. Not about price-per-mile.

Why Sevenoaks

A town firm for an established commuter-belt audience.

Sevenoaks has a particular register. The Vine cricket ground that has been the town's green heart since 1773. Knole House and its parkland deer. The independent schools that have shaped four generations of local families. The professional class that has commuted to London on the South-Eastern line for the past century and a half. The town's identity is established without being showy — a quiet confidence rather than a loud one.

The audience we serve reflects that. Mature professionals in their fifties and sixties completing long-planned moves to overseas properties held for years. Pre-retirement households winding down toward principal-residence transitions. Business owners coordinating the international move with the practice sale or succession. Family-stage-complete households where the children have left for university and the long-held second home is becoming the principal residence.

We are not a national chain with a Sevenoaks depot. The survey is face-to-face on your property in Sevenoaks town, Westerham, Kemsing, Otford, Riverhead, or the surrounding villages. The conversation is unhurried. The crew that loads the consignment is the crew that drives it. The work is the work; the discretion is part of the work.

How we work

Four principles, plainly stated.

Written quotes hold

The price is set in writing after the survey. It does not move upward unless the scope materially changes — and if it does, we requote rather than absorb the change and surprise the household on the day. No bait-and-switch. No moving-day variations.

Period properties get period knowledge

Sevenoaks-area listed property, Grade II Georgian houses with the access constraints they imply, Knole-edge country properties, restored stable yards — the survey covers the approach, the access, the vehicle size, and the secondary shuttle if required.

Pace set by the household

Long planning horizons are typical. Indicative survey now, refined written quote when the destination completion is closer, final move date as the dates firm. We do not compress a long-considered decision. The pace of the move follows the household, not our diary.

Discretion as a working principle

No branded vehicle theatre on the street any longer than the load-out requires. The surveyor and the crew lead are the same person where the move size allows. Communication is by email to the named contact; we do not copy extended-family addresses without instruction.

What we are not

The honest no-list.

We are not a national chain. Sevenoaks and the West Kent commuter belt is the catchment. If you are calling from London, Manchester, Birmingham, or further afield, sister network sites (Peckham Removals for SE London, London Moving for North London, Removals Manchester for the North-West, Removals Somerset for the South-West, the corridor specialists for single-country moves) are usually better-shaped.

We do not run the Costa del Sol pipeline. The party-and-retirement Costa corridor is well-served by other firms in our network — the Manchester site in particular. Our Sevenoaks Spanish work is weighted toward inland Andalusia, established expat enclaves, the considered mature move.

We do not transport pets. Different regulatory regime, different vehicle requirements (temperature, ventilation, welfare-regulation). Pet transport is a specialism in its own right. We refer to firms that do only that (Animalcouriers, Pets2Travel, and others).

We do not give tax or visa advice. We will tell you what residency-evidence pack the customs side needs. For NHR (Portugal), the Spanish non-lucrative visa, the Italian elective residence pathway, French long-stay-visa rules, or any specific tax outcome — talk to a tax adviser and an immigration lawyer.

We do not move outside our four corridors. Not Germany, not the Netherlands, not Switzerland, not Scandinavia, not the wider transatlantic. Sister network firms run those corridors; we refer.

If your move is one we run, talk to us.

A first conversation tells us whether we are the right firm. Either way you get an honest answer.
